Unlock Tiki-Taka Combination Play! | High-Tempo Continuous Passing Drill
Take your team’s passing rhythm, body shape, and 3rd-man combinations to the next level! In Episode 405, we break down a high-tempo continuous passing pattern designed to bypass central pressure blocks using 3 defender mannequins.
This drill trains quick 1-touch wall passes, dynamic receiving angles, and continuous rotation—ensuring high repetitions with zero standing still.
📋 DRILL SETUP & EQUIPMENT:
- 6 Cones / Position Markers
- 3 Defensive Mannequins (simulating central pressure)
- At least 3 Footballs
- Minimum 6 Players
🔄 BALL FLOW & ROTATION:
- Play starts from the bottom line with a crisp vertical pass into the central pocket.
- Players combine around the 3 mannequins using quick 1-touch lay-offs and 3rd-man combinations.
- After the final pass at the top marker, the player receives, dribbles back along the side line, and joins the starting queue to keep the drill completely continuous.
🎯 COACHING POINTS FOR SUCCESS:
- Open Body Shape: Receive on the back foot whenever possible to maintain a clear vision of the next pass.
- Weight of Pass: Keep wall passes cushioned and crisp so teammates can play 1-touch fluidly.
- Timing the Movement: Check away from mannequins before receiving to create realistic passing lanes.
- High Tempo Dribble: The recovery dribble down the side must be fast to maintain non-stop continuity.
